What does Swiss Made mean?

Throughout the world of watchmaking, Swiss Made is a known term that reflects quality, perfection know-how and technical innovation. Not only is Swiss Made a label that indicates the customer that the timepiece is of high value, it’s also a term that can only be used following a couple of legal requirements when it comes to the manufacturing.

The used movement is Swiss and has been encased in Switzerland, where also the final inspection occurred. Swiss Made is attributed when at least 60% of the watch has been manufactured in Switzerland. At BAUNAT, almost 100% of the limited-edition Swiss Collection has been made there.

BAUNAT has its own line of exceptional Swiss Made watches: the limited-edition Swiss Collection consisting of two different models, Chaux and Jura. Intended for those appreciative of the watchmaking know-how, each model is only made 50 times and a number from 1-50 is engraved on the back, which indicates the uniqueness of these collector’s items.

Chaux, which is the only manual mechanic watch in the collection, only has one colour variant: a precious 18kt red gold case paired with a brown alligator leather strap.

The second design Jura, which name was inspired by the region in Switzerland where the watches are manufactured, comes in six different variations. Each colour is named based on an element of nature, such as Jura Lake and Jura Sun, occurring in this region.
