What is the baguette cut?

The baguette cut is a step-cut diamond shape and so, it cut in small steps. Baguette cut diamonds have rectangular or square facets cascading down from the table. This baguette cut diamond has a long, rectangular shape and is cut with 14 facets. The most common variant is the tapered baguette where the bottom of the diamond is shorter.
