Do BAUNAT jewels come with certificates?
You will receive a diamond certificate for every stone larger than or equal to 0.3 carat. This is a laminate-protected document that summarizes a diamond's vital information, and describes precisely its characteristics that help determine its value. A certificate does not give any indication of a diamond's monetary value.
BAUNAT deliberately chooses never to offer inferior qualities. And this in a highly transparent and objective manner. That’s the reason why BAUNAT only works together with the most renowned certificates of the diamond industry worldwide: GIA, HRD & IGI.
- GIA: Gemological Institute of America
- HRD: High Diamond Council – Hoge Raad voor Diamant
- IGI: International Gemological Institute
BAUNAT therefore dissociates itself explicitly from practices such as self-written diamond certificates (a practice that apparently still exists a lot) and inferior quality certificates by less reputable labs. This way we protect our clients against the risk that at future resale (and at any possible recertification by GIA, HRD or IGI) the diamond (jewel) is of inferior quality (and value).
Finally, we would like to emphasize on the fact that BAUNAT standardly doesn’t show certificates in advance, which is one of the reasons that you can enjoy an extremely competitive price. This way, BAUNAT does not need to invest in an expensive and inefficient stock or is limited to diamonds that can be reserved (which always comes with an additional price tag, without offering an effective added value).
Therefore, after having received your payment, BAUNAT purchases the most beautiful diamonds at the source, in all freedom and without any restriction, completely in line with the promised quality standards, which are communicated very clear and transparent in the description of the purchased diamond jewel. This explains the unbeatable price/quality ratio which you enjoy.
