You might be wondering what a solitaire ring is; the solitaire ring is a ring with a single central gemstone. Other jewellery can sometimes also be referred to with the term ‘solitaire’ when they feature one single diamond or other gemstone. The solitaire ring is the most traditional and definitely the most popular type.
In case of a bezel setting, the diamond or gemstone is completely encased in the precious metal. We call the flat piece in which the stone is placed on your ring, the bezel. The edges of the bezel are folded over the sides of the stone to protect it. The advantage of a bezel setting is that the diamond is protected from external influences. In addition, the stone also looks larger. If you choose white gold or platinum, the bezel setting will reflect the brilliance of the diamond even more.
A jewel with low diamond setting means that the diamond is set very close to the wearer. This type of diamond setting is very comfortable to wear and is great for people with an active lifestyle, or when you need to wear gloves for example.
