In case of a bezel setting, the diamond or gemstone is completely encased in the precious metal. We call the flat piece in which the stone is placed on your ring, the bezel. The edges of the bezel are folded over the sides of the stone to protect it. The advantage of a bezel setting is that the diamond is protected from external influences. In addition, the stone also looks larger. If you choose white gold or platinum, the bezel setting will reflect the brilliance of the diamond even more.
Looking after jewellery with gold and diamonds takes a great deal of care. Wear them carefully and make sure you store them away during manual work and activities which will expose them to chemicals and other liquids. Store them in separate bags or boxes with soft lining, in order to avoid scratches. Cleaning should be done with mild soapy water and cloths.
You will receive a diamond certificate for every stone larger than or equal to 0.3 carat. At BAUNAT we only work with the most renowned certificates of the diamond industry worldwide: GIA, HRD & IGI.
