Rivière Bracelet

Yellow gold comes in varying levels of purity, measured in karats (or kt). The most common karat weights for gold are 18kt (75% pure gold) and 24kt (99.9% pure gold). Other purity levels available include 9kt (37.5%), 14kt (58.3%) and 22kt (91.7%).

While a higher karat count is purer, it also makes the precious metal less durable. That's why jewellers tend to use 18kt, 14kt, or 9kt for jewellery that should last long-term, like a striking bracelet.
