When is a diamond real?

A real or 'natural' diamond' is created deep under the earth's crust under extreme pressure and extreme temperatures. Real diamonds are always accompanied by a quality certificate. Humans have since succeeded in recreating this process in the laboratory. The process makes a synthetic diamond with exactly the same chemical properties and appearance. So whilst this is a real diamond, it is not a natural one. Then there are fake diamonds, but these are nothing in comparison with the real thing.
