Many rumours and discussions have preceded this second royal wedding of the year. Prince Andrew was determined to ensure that his daughter’s wedding would be as glamourous as the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle earlier this year. However, the BBC has nonetheless decided not to air the wedding live, as they fear that the people in general are not really interested. This is in stark contrast with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding, which was watched by approximately two billion people worldwide.  Instead of the BBC, ITV will cover the royal wedding live and people from other countries will be able to tune in via the internet.

Which diamond jewellery pieces will she be wearing?

This royal wedding may not be as highly anticipated as the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, we and many others are still curious about the wedding dress and, more importantly, which diamond jewellery Princess Eugenie will wear on her special day.

Princess Eugenie’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, will almost surely lend her a diamond diadem from the British Crown Jewels, the most valuable collection of diamonds and diamond jewels in the world. One of the most famous diamonds from the British Crown Jewels is the Koh-I-Noor, the ‘Mountain of Light’. This jewel was gifted to Queen Victoria and has been part of the collection ever since.

The engagement and wedding ring

Princess Eugenie will also certainly be wearing her stunning halo engagement ring on her wedding day. A beautiful and extremely rare “Padparadscha” sapphire is the highlight of this ring, shimmering with a pink or apricot hue depending on the angle. The surrounding diamonds add the finishing touch to this ethereal sapphire and diamond jewel.

We do not yet know what Princess Eugenie’s wedding ring will look like and whether or not her husband will wear a wedding ring as well. We can, however, speculate that her wedding ring will most likely be crafted from Welsh gold. After all, this is a very old royal tradition, which Princess Eugenie is not likely to break.

BAUNAT will keep you updated on the royal wedding throughout the day and we will discuss Princess Eugenie’s wedding jewellery as soon as we have more information.
