Is a diamond a good investment? Baunat's expertise in D-E-F colour diamonds

Are you considering diamonds as an alternative venture for a portion of your assets? Thinking about diamonds as an investment? Are you considering diamonds as investment vehicles?

When it comes to investment diamonds, BAUNAT is certainly a trusted partner. We will be happy to assist you if, in selecting your jewellery, the diamond (or diamonds) are considered as investments vehicles.

Given that in this quest the focus lies on the more exclusive characteristics of diamonds (in terms of colour, clarity and caratage), the absolute prices are notably higher than for the diamonds BAUNAT uses in its price-tagged jewellery (if diamonds are selected of up to 3 ct, colour gradation G or H and clarity of VS2 or SI1, being the ideal attributes that guarantee the best price-quality in terms of your budget; for further information click   here  .

But despite these notably higher prices (making them less-than-perfect in terms of your budget), the BAUNAT team still guarantees you the best possible prices in investment terms. Therefore we will only recommend diamonds to you for which - notwithstanding their rarity - demand is widespread, as opposed to the small collector’s market where pricing is primarily driven by pure speculation. Why invest in diamonds? - click here.

What this means is that BAUNAT will only issue a quote for tailor-made jewellery if the diamond or diamonds (as the most important component of an item of jewellery) is suitable for investment purposes, both in terms of the price-quality ratio and in respect of its resale at a later date.

Investment diamonds that could be used for this jewellery must consequently satisfy the following conditions:

  • Carat: between 1ct and 6 ct (we do not recommend diamonds of a higher carat value for investment purposes)
  • Clarity: higher than VS2 and ‘loupe clean’
  • Colour:
    • D, E or F for white diamonds
    • Intensely naturally coloured diamonds (such as blue, yellow, pink or red), subject to there being sufficient demand for these types of diamonds

As stated, the above diamond characteristics guarantee the best price-quality if you consider the diamond or diamonds as an attractive and marketable investment.
